Enhancing Opportunities Program – Calgary
Need your GED or grade 12 equivalency to get an employer’s attention? Our program offers GED preparation as well as employability skills, work experience and supported job search to help you get the job you want! You will spend the first 12 weeks studying and practicing to write the GED (General Education Development) exam and you will write the exam at the end of the 12 weeks. You will then learn valuable and transferable skills such as how to write an effective resume and cover letters, interviewing skills, networking, and accessing the hidden job market.
You will also take computer training and learn beginner Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint. There is then a work experience component where you get to work for an employer at their site and use your new skills.
